Selangor: Domino's Pizza Malaysia will be collaborating with other online ordering platforms and e-wallets by the second half next year.Domino's Malaysia and Singapore Deputy President of Operations Shamsul Amree said the company was currently finalising several important details, including upgrading its own online ordering platform to include the new features.

"More than 50 per cent of our sales comes from online orders and we are positive of posting double-digit growth next year," he said at Domino's new product launch here Wednesday.

Shamsul also said Domino's aims to open 300 stores nationwide by 2020 and would be opening 14 more by year-end.

"We are currently focused on expanding to new townships. As the demand for delivery grows, we need these physical stores to help us cater to demand in an area," he added.

On the minimum wage increase to RM1,100 next year as announced in the 2019 Budget last Friday, Shamsul said it would have a slight impact on part time wages, but was adaptable.

"What we pay our workers is higher than RM1,100. As we aim to have 100 per cent local workers by the end of next year, I believe the wages will only have minimal impact on our operations," he said.

Domino's Malaysia has about 5,000 employees and 226 outlets nationwide, including three in Sabah. – Bernama
